Most recruiters we speak to aren't unhappy.
They're just not sure.
Not sure whether where they are is genuinely good or just comfortable.
Not sure whether what they're being paid reflects what they're worth.
Not sure whether there's something better out there or whether that's just something they tell themselves on a bad month.
That uncertainty is completely normal. And it's also the exact reason most recruiters never do anything about it.
Rec to rec has earned a difficult reputation. Pushing CVs to every agency on LinkedIn, breaking confidentiality, and forcing consultants into processes they don't actually want to be in. It's a reputation that is, unfortunately, largely deserved.
Then there's the fear of being seen. The anxiety that your director finds out, your commission gets questioned, or your team gets suspicious before you've even decided if you want to leave. The risk often feels higher than the reward.
We built our process specifically around those concerns. Because if you don't trust the person you're speaking to, none of the rest of it matters.
Confidentiality isn't just a buzzword; it's the foundation of how we operate. We never send your CV anywhere without your explicit permission. We never discuss your profile with our network in a way that makes it obvious who you are.
When we approach businesses on your behalf, we do it completely anonymously. They only know your identity when you decide you are ready for them to know.
The worst outcome is you spend some time talking to us and decide you're happy where you are. That's not a bad outcome. That's the point.
